ISLAMABAD (A. News) – Journalist Waheed Murad was brought before Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah’s court, where he was placed under the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency.

During the hearings, FIA officers notified the court that Murad had been arrested the night before. They said that he had posted messages on the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the province of Balochistan, and that more investigation was needed into his X and Facebook accounts.

Murad, on the other hand, informed the court that law enforcement officers forced their way into his home, busting down the door and assaulting his mother-in-law. He further alleged that he was handed over to the FIA just 20 minutes before his court appearance.
