FAISALABAD (A News)- The Punjab Department of Information and Culture declared April 14 as Punjabi Culture Day, sending a formal notification to all provincial government organizations.

According to the edict, chiefs of province and district-level institutions would dress traditionally, with males wearing turbans and women wearing chunri (traditional scarves).

The notice also directs the establishment of Punjabi poetry recitals and Na’at meetings at the province and district levels. Educational institutions, including schools and colleges, have also been instructed to encourage active participation in the cultural festivals.
