The court has issued arrest warrants for Omar Ayub and other PTI leaders.

FAISALABAD: In a case pertaining to the May 9 occurrences, the ATC on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for both Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub, two PTI leaders.

Due to their failure to appear in court in a case filed at the Civil Lines Police Station, Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, the opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Senate, were issued arrest warrants by ATC Faisalabad.

Kanwal Shauzab of the PTI and former federal minister and party leader Fawad Chaudhry are among the other defendants.

In the meanwhile, Junaid Afzal Sahi, a PTI member of the provincial assembly (MPA), arrived in court and stated that the court had deferred a review petition that had been submitted.

Setting a police vehicle on fire and aiding and abetting are two of the charges filed against the PTI leaders.
