On Saturday, the government hiked the gasoline duty by Rs10 per liter.
The petroleum duty has been hiked from Rs60 to Rs70 per liter.
According to sources, the petroleum levy was hiked in accordance with the government of Pakistan’s pledges to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that fuel prices will stay constant for the next two weeks.
