In a historic move toward digitization, the (LHC) has implemented new technology improvements to promote transparency and efficiency in the judicial system.
Under the direction of Chief Justice Miss Alia Neelam, major initiatives are being done to modernize court processes using digital media.
For the first time, litigants and attorneys will be able to view live hearings from the cause list via the LHC’s mobile app and official website. This program attempts to improve accessibility and simplify the legal procedure.
Additionally, the court staff’s attendance system has been digitalized, with a location-based mobile app available on the Android Play Store. The iOS version will be released shortly, allowing all employees to digitally indicate attendance while supervisors may check records in real time.
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Lahore High Court IT Wing have successfully completed all technical tasks required to integrate these functionalities.
According to Chief Justice Alia Neelam, new information technology is critical for judicial reform. The LHC mobile app and website will be enhanced to better serve attorneys and plaintiffs, guaranteeing seamless access to case processes.
