Former foreign minister and vice chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi, was transferred from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore on Thursday.

According to sources, the PTI leader who is now in custody is scheduled to appear before the anti-terrorism court at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

Sources claim that Shah Mehmood Qureshi is the focus of legal procedures over the riots in Lahore that began on May 9. He will be sent back to Adiala Jail after his anti-terrorism court appearance.
