ISLAMABAD — On Monday, Islamabad police detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar and Secretary General Raoof Hassan on charges of encroachment.
According to sources, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad police began a joint operation against encroachments in the G-8 sector, resulting in the arrest of senior PTI officials.
A team of Islamabad police stormed the PTI’s central secretariat and blocked access ways.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Ali Ijaz Buttar, said that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Information Secretary Rauf Hassan had been detained by Islamabad police at the party’s office.
