FAISALABAD (A News) – A man was sentenced to jail and a fine under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

According to the ruling issued by Additional Sessions Judge Special Anti-Rape Court, the offender was sentenced to 10 years in jail and fined Rs 1 million. If the fine is not paid, the criminal will be sentenced to another year in imprisonment.

Usman, a Tariqabad resident, was convicted of posting inappropriate photographs of a lady on a social media network. He also blackmailed the victim and demanded money from her.

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing filed a complaint against the prisoner in 2023.
