As a powerful westerly weather system approaches, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted severe snowfall, thunderstorms, and extensive rain in a number of areas.
On the evening of February 24, the system is predicted to move into western Pakistan. By February 25, it will have spread to the higher regions, and it will continue to exist in the northern regions until March 2.

The PMD predicts that from February 25 to March 2, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir will have significant snowfall and thunderstorms. Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, and Poonch are among the impacted regions.
From February 24th to March 1st, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will get a lot of rain and snowfall in places like Chitral, Swat, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Peshawar. From February 25 to March 1, there will be moderate to severe snowfall in Murree, Galliyat, and the neighboring districts.

Punjab is also expected to have rain and thunderstorms; the impacted cities include Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. From February 25 to 27, there will be rain in a few southern areas, such as Bahawalpur and Multan.

Between February 24 and 26, snow will fall in high-altitude regions of Balochistan, including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, and others. Parts of Sindh, like as Larkana and Sukkur, are also anticipated to get light rain on February 25–26.

Due to severe snowfall, the PMD has issued a warning that traffic would be disrupted in Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, and portions of KP and Gilgit-Baltistan. Between February 25 and March 1, susceptible areas in KP and Kashmir may experience flash floods. Mountainous areas are also susceptible to landslides.
