ISLAMABAD — The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts rain-windstorm/thunderstorm conditions with isolated heavy rainfall in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab, the Potohar area, and Islamabad during the next 24 hours.

Isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, south and central Punjab, northeast and south Baluchistan, and southeast and upper Sindh are likely to see rainstorms or thunderstorms.

According to the synoptic situation, monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are invading the upper parts of the country at lower tropospheric levels and are predicted to hit the central areas on Saturday.
