ISLAMABAD (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Director General Mahr Sahibzada Khan projected on Wednesday that the country would continue to get rainfall till August 5, with a focus on the Chenab River, which is anticipated to face an alarming condition.
Speaking to PTV, he stated that the Chenab river will be under tremendous strain because to the heavy rain, causing a risk of flooding in neighboring communities. He added that while other rivers are also likely to rise, the Chenab river is of special concern.
The PMD has recommended authorities and communities to take the appropriate preparations and remain watchful in the face of this imminent catastrophe, he said.
