LAHORE – Candles are being lit across Punjab to commemorate police martyrs and those who gave their life for the country.

According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the ceremonial rituals for Police Martyrs’ Day began with the lighting of lamps.

RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, senior police officers, martyr families, civil society members, and a large number of civilians have all attended the celebrations.

Candles were lighted at memorials, public service delivery places, and other locations to honor the police martyrs. August 4 is National Police Martyrs’ Day.
