ISLAMABAD- Omar Ayub, the opposition leader in the National Assembly, criticised the ruling PML-N on Tuesday, describing the federal budget for fiscal year 2024-25 as economic terrorism against the Pakistani people.
Interacting with the media alongside his PTI colleague Babar Awan here, Ayub emphasised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s admission of the IMF’s role in budget formulation.
He complained that electricity rates were expected to exceed Rs100 per unit in the coming days, and that the US currency, which was artificially locked at approximately Rs275, will rise to Rs300.
