MUZAFFARABAD (A News) – The AJK Legislative Assembly will vote on the long-awaited no-confidence motion against Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq tomorrow (Monday).

The agenda for this meeting has been prepared by the AJK Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

Meanwhile, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the PPP’s nominee for the top position, has received backing from two additional members of the advance bloc.

Diwan Chughtai, the AJK Minister for Education, has pledged his support for the PPP after meeting Faryal Talpur.

Furthermore, another cabinet member, Professor Taqadas Gillani, has dropped her support for Anwarul Haq.

Taqadas Gillani was elected to a seat allocated for women. With the current developments, the PPP now has the support of 38 members of the Legislative Assembly.

On the other side, sources close to Chaudhry Anwarul Haq have stated that he plans to confront the no-confidence motion.
The PTI, the Muslim Conference, and the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Party are anticipated to remain neutral in the vote.

Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged the party’s choice for prime minister, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, to boost public interaction.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faisal Mumtaz Rathore met on Saturday at Zardari House.

During the meeting, the PPP chairman reminded the PPP candidate that it was his job to resolve the issues facing the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

“Resolve the concerns of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in a responsible and peaceful manner. Increase interactions with the masses to learn about their difficulties,” PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated.
