ISLAMABAD — Shaza Fatima, Minister of State for Information Technology, claimed to have identified the culprits responsible for a deepfake video of Azma Bokhari.
Shaza Fatima, along with other Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) women leaders, held a news conference today and announced a crackdown on those involved in propaganda and spreading phony films of Azma Bokhari online.
Legal action would be pursued against those who defamed Azma Bokhari by generating phony photographs and films with deep fake technology.
PML-N officials linked the negative propaganda against Azma Bokhari to a specific political party.
The state minister for information technology emphasized that using social media for propaganda would not be permitted.
