LAHORE: – The anti-terrorism court in Lahore has denied Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a major leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, his request to appear via video link in the May 9 trials.

During the May 9 case hearing on Monday, Qureshi’s attorney requested that he appear in court by video connection. However, the judge rejected the plea.

The judge ordered that Qureshi attend in person for the trial.

The former Foreign Minister is presently in Adiala Jail. He was taken to Lahore four days ago to have his cases heard by the ATC.

However, after the hearing, Qureshi was returned to Adiala Jail.
