People were murdered in two separate incidents here on Saturday after mistakenly touching electricity lines during a downpour.

An elderly man and an eleven-year-old child were electrocuted in Majeed Colony and Site Metrovol after accidentally touching electricity lines while attempting to flee rain-soaked roadways.

The pedestrians died as a result of the current pouring through the poles during the downpour. In Karachi, occasional downpours swamped city streets, particularly in low-lying areas. Following the downpour, traffic came to a complete standstill.

Locals have demanded punishment against the power provider for their negligence, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
