Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), decided on Tuesday not to appear in front of a joint investigation team (JIT) in connection with incidents of violence and arson at Jinnah home (Corps Commander home) and Military Tower.

The JIT, chaired by DIG Kamran Adil, summoned the former prime minister for interrogation today (Tuesday), after his party was shaken by mass resignations after the May 9 events.

The Punjab government has previously constituted ten distinct JITs to investigate the May 9 events, including Imran Khan’s involvement in lawsuits filed at Thana Sarwar Road, Shadman, Race Course, and other police stations.
