The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered the interior ministry on Tuesday to remove PTI politician Farrukh Habib’s name off the Exit Control List (ECL).

After hearing the former state minister’s petition to have his name removed from the ECL, Justice Anwarul Haq gave the instructions.

Ahmed Pansota, the PTI leader’s counsel, presented the plea on Monday. Following the conclusion of the lawyers’ arguments, the court deferred its decision on the motion to remove Farrukh Habib’s name off the ECL.

Habib had requested to go to Dubai on April 28, but the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) deported him off the plane at the Lahore airport.
