RAWALPINDI ( A News ) The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Thursday that Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, a former Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), had been condemned by a Field General Court Martial to 14 years of hard labor.

The court martial procedures against the retired general were started under the Pakistan Army Act and lasted for fifteen months, according to ISPR. After the trial, the military court imposed a strict 14-year prison sentence.

According to ISPR, Faiz Hameed was put on trial for four offenses: engaging in political activity, breaking the Official Secrets Act, abusing power and government resources, and harming pertinent people illegally.

The accused was found guilty on all counts after a thorough and thorough judicial proceeding. The punishment will take effect on December 11, 2025.

The Field General Court Martial satisfied all legal criteria and granted the accused all legal rights, including the option to designate a team of defense attorneys, according to the military’s media wing.

ISPR said that additional investigations are being conducted into issues pertaining to the accused’s purported cooperation with political elements, political disruption, and destabilization attempts.
Prior to this, Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed was both the Peshawar Corps Commander and the DG ISI.
