ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) Justice (Retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, the Chairman of the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC), has resigned.

According to sources, Justice (retd) Siddiqui stepped down for personal reasons. A notification to terminate his contract has been issued to the President of Pakistan via the Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis.

According to the notice, the notification designating him as Chairman NIRC was issued on December 2, 2024, and he took over on December 4, 2024. However, personal issues have made it difficult for him to continue carrying out his duties and obligations.

According to Justice (retd) Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, a one-month notice to terminate the contract has been served in compliance with Clause XII of the agreement.
