PESHAWAR (A.News): On April 8, the Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will play an exhibition game at the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

The provincial administration has ordered the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium renovations to be completed as soon as possible in order to get ready for the event.

In his welcoming statement, Javed Afridi, owner of Peshawar Zalmi, said, “Quetta Gladiators and Zalmi fans, Pakhair Raghlay to Arbab Niaz Stadium.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) plan to generate anticipation for the tenth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) includes this exhibition match.

The PCB has previously hosted a match of this nature prior to the PSL. In 2023, Quetta had a similar exhibition match that effectively captivated cricket fans’ interest and zeal.

The decision to reinstate cricket in Peshawar was probably motivated by the game’s success, which furthered PCB’s resolve to promote cricket throughout Pakistan.
