LAHORE: Police arrested seven members of the gang, including two police officers, on Saturday, claiming to have busted a group that was honeytrapping unsuspecting males, according to Dunya News.

On social media, the gang members reached out to people to add them as friends. Once they had gained their trust, they would summon them to their meeting spots, torture them, record their naked videos with ladies, and demand money from them while threatening to make their film go viral if they did not pay.

Asim, Waqas, Ahmed, Abrar, Noreen, Kiran, and Fariha are the names of the suspects that were taken into custody. Police used mobile phone forensics and social media tracking to track the gang’s actions.

The accused were found to have seven cell phones, a weapon, handcuffs, and Rs 55,000 in cash.

The group targeted more than fifty people, according to the authorities. Following a complaint from Kamran, a local resident, a lawsuit was filed against the defendants.
