RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a statement on Tuesday that three troops accepted martyrdom and that 19 terrorists were slain during three different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

“On January 6-7, 2025, nineteen Khwarij [terrorists] were sent to hell in three separate engagements in KP,” the military’s propaganda wing claims.

According to the report, the security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Peshawar district’s general Matani region in response to reports of terrorist activity.

Eight militants were shot dead as a consequence of the army soldiers’ successful engagement of the terrorists’ location during the operation.

According to the ISPR, the second IBO was carried out in the Mohmand District’s broad region of Baizai.

According to the military’s public affairs department, the security forces successfully engaged and neutralized eight terrorists during the subsequent gunfight.

Three terrorists were killed in another battle in Karak District when army personnel successfully engaged a terrorist position.

Nevertheless, the ISPR stated that following a fierce firefight, three courageous sons of soil—Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali, 38; Naik Muhammad Nazir, 37; and Naik Muhammad Usman, 37—had made the ultimate sacrifice and accepted shahadat [martyrdom].

To get rid of any further terrorists that could have been in the region, sanitization efforts were carried out.

The ISPR further stated, “Security forces are determined to eradicate the threat of terrorism from the nation, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”

With at least 685 deaths and 444 terror assaults, 2024 proved to be the worst year for Pakistan’s military and civil security personnel in ten years, according to the Centre for Security and Strategic Studies’ “CRSS Annual Security Report 2024.”

According to a CRSS study cited by The News, the combined losses of citizens and security personnel, totaling 1,612 deaths, were equally concerning. These losses accounted for almost 63 percent of the total recorded this year, which is 73 percent higher than the 934 outlaws that were exterminated.
