ISLAMABAD: The introduction of a smartphone app for visa-on-arrival has made it easier than ever for people of 120 countries to travel to Pakistan.
According to information, users may apply for visas, monitor the progress of their applications, and receive visas online with the “Pak ID” app, which was created by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Travelers may apply for both business and tourist visas using the app, which is intended to make the process easy. Users can even monitor the progress of their applications. The application also has the ability to read documents, passports, and faces.
Citizens of 192 nations can now apply for visas online through Pakistan, with 120 of those nations being eligible for visa-on-arrival.
The Pak ID mobile app was released by NADRA in 2024, enabling anyone to get a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) and Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) online.
According to specifics, the NADRA has made contemporary facilities available, saving the public from having to wait in huge lines at the centers. The applicant might have their ID documents sent to their home after completing the process using the app.
The NADRA Pak ID mobile app has made it simple to submit photos, verify fingerprints, and make payments online. According to a NADRA spokeswoman, CNICs, FRCs, and even CNICs for Pakistanis living abroad may now be obtained online.
