PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government agreed on Monday to give special seats to the families of the martyrs of May 9 in an attempt to bolster its position on that day.

Widows of the May 9 martyrs reportedly will be given women’s seats. Special seats will be reserved for the widows of Javed Gill, Sikandar, Muhammad Bilal, Abrar Ahmad, and Javed Akakhel.

Sources claim that Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), gave the order for the decision to be made.
