ISTANBUL: According to official figures released on Wednesday, Turkey’s annual inflation rate dropped to 71.6 percent in June, the lowest level in previous months.
Consumer prices peaked in May at 75.45 percent, and then they started to decline.
Mehmet Simsek, the minister of finance, wrote on X that “the disinflation process has begun.”
