(Web Desk) : Miftah Ismail, a former leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), denied media allegations implying he was planning to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Miftah addressed the rumors in the media on his joining the PPP in a post on X (previously known as Twitter).

Miftah confirmed that he stopped participating in politics, rejecting the reports. He declared, “I’m not affiliated with any political party.”

Previous rumors in the media said that Miftah may join the PPP and that negotiations with the party led by Bilawal Bhutto were almost complete.

Miftah resigned in June from his post as the general secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, as well as from other party positions, due to internal conflict resulting from his dismissal and Ishaq Dar’s nomination as finance minister in September 2022.
