After the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday suspended his sentence in the Toshakhana case, the PTI leader was detained in connection with the cipher case.
In the cipher case, the former prime minister was sent on judicial remand in jail until August 30. The verdict was issued by Judge Abul Hasnaat Zulqarnain of the special court set up under the Official Secrets Act. The director of the Attock Jail received the court order.
The PTI chairman was also required to appear in court on August 30.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had mandated the PTI chairman’s release and suspended the sentence imposed by the trial court in the Toshakhana case.
