Elections cannot be held in less than 90 days: ECP

ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said on Thursday that general elections in Pakistan could not be held within 90 days.

A meeting of the electoral watchdog was held, according to a statement published here, with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in the chair. The assembly voted to redistrict the country for the next general election.

According to the ECP, the delimitation procedure would take at least four months.
