LAHORE – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) dismissed 22 leaders from South Punjab on Tuesday for breaking party rules.
PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub’s signature appeared on the notification. Former Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Sardar Muhammad Khan Leghari, Khusro Bakhtiar, Javed Akhtar Ansari, Farooq Azam Malik, and Muhammad Akhtar Malik all left the PTI.
Expelled from the PTI were Syed Nadeem Shah, Ehtishamul Haq, Bahawal Khan Abbasi, Sabeen Gul, Mian Shafi Muhammad, Syed Muhammad Asghar Shah, Mian Tariq Abdullah, Muhammad Afzal, Ehsanul Haq, Saleem Akhtar, Muhammad Zaheeruddin Khan Alizai, and Salman Khan.
Others who were fired from the party were Akram Kanu, Mohiuddin Solangi, Makhdoom Afkarul Hassan, and Raja Muhammad Saleem.
On Saturday, the PTI expelled 22 leaders, including former Punjab Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
The development occurred after Khattak created the PTI MPs, a breakaway faction. Shafiq Afridi, Ziaullah Bangash, Ishtiaq Urmar, Iqbal Wazeer, Yaqoob Sheikh, and Wilson Wazeer were all kicked out of the party.
The warning was sent to the defected members by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan.
Khattak created his own political party earlier this month after splitting from the old party.
