Faisal Karim Kundi, the head of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), announced on Thursday that the PPP and the PML-N have exchanged five candidates for the position of interim prime minister.

Speaking to the media, he said that the PML-N had brought the bill directly before the legislature, and that since the PPP had not been given a vote of confidence, Raza Rabbani, the PPP leader, had left the building in protest. He continued, “The PPP is against giving interim setup broad authority.
