A 3.0-magnitude earthquake hit Quetta and the neighbouring Balochistan province the next morning.

People exited from their homes in dread and began shouting verses from the Holy Quran. There were no reports of deaths or property damage in any area in Quetta as a result of the earthquake.

According to Islamabad’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake’s epicentre was around 15 kilometres beneath the surface, 25 km northwest of Quett.
