On Saturday, a federal court in Islamabad postponed a judgement on a petition filed by PTI leader Asad Umar seeking confirmation of his bail in the case filed against him for violating Section 144 in Islamabad.
Judge Sikandar Khan reserved his ruling after hearing arguments from the PTI leader’s attorney and the prosecution. On June 19, he announced that the decision of the bail petition will be made public.
Mr Umar’s lawyer argued that there was no proof of his client attending a PTI rally in the capital city’s F9 sector. He claimed that Asad Umar’s name was misspelt in the complaint.
