LAHORE – The Punjab government has granted police complete authority to kill miscreants entering official facilities in an effort to maintain public safety and order. Interim Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi delivered the declaration, stating that those who disturb peace and order would be handled with “iron hands.”

Similarly, the Islamabad police have been given expanded powers and told to fire at any miscreants or terrorists approaching the police queue, checkpoints or police station.

Following the implementation of Section 245 in the federal capital, Islamabad police IG Dr Akbar Nasir Khan issued an order to remove all containers installed in the city.

Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan stated in a statement that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure law and order, and that no one would be permitted to take the law into their own hands. This decision was made to safeguard the public’s safety and to prevent prospective threats.
