The District Administration Islamabad has implemented Section 144 and banned public gatherings in the Federal Capital with immediate effect.
According to the order, all types of gatherings and processions will be prohibited in Islamabad. This order shall take immediate effect and shall remain in effect for a period of two months.
In exercising the authority granted by Section 144 Cr.PC 1898, Additional District Magistrate Islamabad, Sheryar Arif Khan, prohibited any types of gatherings of five or more people, processions/rallies, and demonstrations in any public area within the revenue limits of District Islamabad.
