The new-generation ballistic missile Agni Prime was successfully tested launched from an island off the coast of Odisha on Thursday, according to Indian media citing authorities.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) performed the test from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island, and all goals were met, they stated.

This was the first pre-induction night launch following three successful developmental testing of the missile, they added, proving the system’s precision and dependability.

They noted that radar, telemetry, and electro-optical tracking equipment were placed at various places, including two down-range ships, to record flight data throughout the whole course.
