SHIKARPUR (A News) – On Wednesday night, a gang of rivals attacked Goth Bechanji near Town Chak with a rocket launcher and a rifle, killing five individuals, four of them were members of the same family.

Armed men from the Badani Tribe invaded a Shar Tribe dwelling. After surrounding the home, the assailants launched a rocket launcher, causing a loud explosion.

The explosion and subsequent shooting killed five persons in the residence. Those slain were the house’s owner, Abdul Khaliq Shar, his two sons Khalid Shar and Raja Shar, brother Abdul Sattar Shar, and guest Abdul Jabbar Shar.

After the assault, fear spread across the region, and the assailants were able to flee. As soon as the information was received, a big police detachment arrived at the scene, roped off the area, and began an investigation.

According to a comprehensive inquiry, the tragedy was the product of long-standing tribal animosity. The bodies have been sent to a hospital for medicolegal examination. The atmosphere in the region is tight, and more police have been sent to cope with any further adverse incidents.
