On Monday, the government ousted Director General Jan Muhammad of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and nominated Abdul Khaliq Sheikh as the new DG.

Abdul Khaliq Sheikh is a grade 21 officer who has been assigned extra responsibilities as FIA DG. He now serves as director general of the National Police Bureau.
