KARACHI (A News) – The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on Friday, April 4, to commemorate the 46th death anniversary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Chief Secretary, all government offices, autonomous organizations, companies, and local councils in the province would be closed.
On this anniversary, the PPP will organize a memorial gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, with a significant number of party members and supporters from all around the country scheduled to attend.
Bhutto was hanged on April 4, 1979, at Rawalpindi’s Central Jail after Gen Ziaul Haq maintained the death sentence for murder.
He was buried to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Sindh.
