According to reports, the Central electricity Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has requested a 30 paisa per unit drop in electricity costs.

According to sources, the February adjustment request has been submitted to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority. On March 26, the regulatory authority will review the case.

However, the CPPA’s planned adjustment will not affect K-Electric customers, according to the sources.

This projected drop would be the sixth straight fall in power costs under NEPRA’s monthly adjustment method. Nepra has previously reduced power tariffs seven times in a succession, including a drop of Rs2.12 per unit for the January adjustment.
