(Web Desk) – Mohammed Siraj, an Indian pacer, has taken a hiatus from employment to pursue a spiritual journey.
The quick bowler was photographed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Monday night, dressed in Ihram, as he left for Umrah with his buddies. A video of him at the airport has recently gone popular on social media.
His choice to take a spiritual vacation comes as he faces obstacles in his cricket career. The 30-year-old was conspicuously overlooked from India’s 15-man roster for the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which surprised both fans and pundits.
Not only that, but the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) released him prior of the 2025 IPL season.
Siraj last played in India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia earlier this year, where he took 20 wickets in 10 innings, making him India’s second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
Despite his impressive performance, he did not gain a position in India’s team for the ICC competition.
