KYIV (Reuters) – On Saturday, Russian shelling killed at least five civilians in various regions of Ukraine, according to officials.
Officials in Ukraine’s Kherson region reported three deaths: one in the administrative center, also known as Kherson, one outside the city, and one near the northern city of Beryslav.
The Kherson region was overrun in the early days of Russia’s February 2022 invasion, although Ukrainian troops reclaimed substantial portions of it later that year. Russian troops continue to shell Ukrainian-controlled areas from fresh positions.
