On Tuesday, the Supreme Court delayed its decision on a case brought by the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) challenging the denial of reserved seat allocation.
Following lawyers’ arguments, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa addressed the audience and stated that he could not predict with certainty when the ruling will be announced. “We [the bench members] would consult with each other on the time to announce the decision.”
Meanwhile, the court personnel informed the media that the ruling would not be announced today.
A 13-member full court, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, heard the plea. Other judges on the bench are Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Ayesha A. Malik, Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Irfan Saadat Khan and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan.
