Zac Efron reveals surprising truth about classic ‘High School Musical’ moment

Zac Efron made an interesting statement regarding High School Musical 2.

The actor recently spoke with Joey King to promote their new film A Family Affair on Still Watching Netflix, where he discussed his renowned teenage series.

Zac, who played Troy Bolton in all three Disney films, stated that the classic golf course dance to “Bet on It” was “a complete improv.”

“That was all improv. And we shot it, I think the whole song, in like three hours,” he spoke of the famous scene which premiered in the 2007 that followed the characters working their summer jobs at a country club.

The “Bet on It” sequence takes place on the club grounds, during Troy’s outburst against the film’s major antagonist Sharpay.

“When we shot it, we had no clue what to do for the day. The director [Kenny Ortega] was like, “Dude, we don’t have a concept for this song.” What would you like to do? “I was like, ‘I don’t know, we’re on a golf course,'” Zac explained.
