Andrew Tate’s house arrest in Romania has been lifted by a Romanian court

A Romanian court on Friday lifted a house arrest order put on popular influencer Andrew Tate and his brother while they await trial on claims of human trafficking.

Tate, a self-described misogynist with a huge online following, has also been charged with rape and organizing a group to participate in women’s sexual exploitation.

According to the court’s judgment, “the preventive measure of judicial control replaces the defendants’ house arrest for a period of 60 days, from 4 August 2023 to 2 October 2023.”

Tate, his brother, and two accomplices must appear in court and are not permitted to leave the greater Bucharest area without authorization.
