The detention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan was deemed “illegal” by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday, as a three-member panel ordered the authorities to show him before the court.
The three-member bench, which included Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minallah, as well as the CJP, heard the former prime minister’s appeal against his arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case and ordered the National Accountability Bureau and the Islamabad IGP to produce Imran Khan before the court within 30 minutes
