Miscreants flung stones at the country’s first public transit project, the Green Line, in the country’s economic heartland.
Unknown miscreants threw stones at Green Line Buses at four different spots between Numaish and Surjani.
The Central District Administration, according to reports, has filed a complaint with the police against the unknown miscreants.
The incident has sparked concerns about the Green Line project’s security.
The promise that the Green Line project will employ 900 cameras and 250 security staff was also proven to be false.
According to the sources, stones were thrown at the bus, shattering the side glass and other windows. The buses were damaged by stone pelting from the pedestrian bridge, but the passengers were unharmed.
