DHAKA (Web Desk) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has removed board director Nazmul Islam from his post, according to an official statement.

According to the BCB, the board president made the decision after examining recent occurrences and considering the best interests of the game. The action follows uproar over a comment made by Nazmul Islam.

The BCB also stated that players will compete in the Bangladesh Premier League, keeping the event on track. Previously, Bangladesh players boycotted BPL matches following the former director’s statements, bringing the competition to a halt.

The board stated that the move attempts to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in domestic cricket.
