ISLAMABAD (A News) – Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, declared that his administration would not permit the forcible return of Afghan refugees.

It contradicts the center’s strict position on unauthorized immigrants.

“Our position on Afghan refugees is clear — we oppose any policy that forcibly sends them back,” CM Gandapur told reporters after meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. People who want to go back should be treated with respect.
“Chairman PTI believes dialogue is the only solution to the ongoing wave of terrorism, but I have not been assigned any task in this regard,” the KP chief minister said, distancing himself from any official participation in dialogue attempts.

Despite court orders allowing the visit, Gandapur also expressed disappointment at the delay in meeting the former prime minister, stating it was their first encounter in two months.

Regarding the subject of negotiations, he said, “They shouldn’t be resisted if they can result in a solution. The founder of the PTI is not seeking a settlement; rather, he is promoting discussion for the sake of the country.

The chief minister emphasized the province’s financial difficulties by stating that KP has not received any funding from the federal government in the previous eleven months. “We have been using our revenue to govern the province. We have given the Counter Terrorism Department and other organizations Rs 30 billion since we took government.

Along with expressing dissatisfaction over recent statements made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet, he also mentioned that the province administration had started working on a provincial action plan.
